Bespoke Tailor Glasgow

At Hunter Kingsley we pride ourselves on offering a luxury bespoke service. Each enquiry is answered by myself and written in our paper diary, we don’t use automated assistants or booking apps, as it’s lacks the personal touch you expect from a bespoke tailor service.

We continue to work by appointment, meaning that each client has the whole studio to themselves to talk through fabrics, styles and cuts of their bespoke suit. Our curated range of luxury cloth only ever comes from reputable fabric mills across the UK, the same as you would find in any Savile Row tailors in London.

Chatting through and choosing fabric is the hard part, once selected we then discuss styling options of your bespoke suit such as single or double breasted jacket, pleated or plain trousers and the finer details such as lapel width and pocket angle.

Once the bespoke suit is designed up, we measure each client up and send the details to our tailoring workshop in Huddersfield, where they cut and see the first fitting, a draft suit for the client to try on. At this stage the suit has not facings or lining and is really a rough shell serving only to guide or correct and fitting nuances. The fitting stage is a great opportunity to look at our bespoke shirt service , choosing a shirt fabric is much easier once the can see the full suit more clearly.

After all the alterations are noted it’s back to the tailor’s workshop for the final sew. Our tailors unpick the suit and recut any alterations needed, a timely process but ensures quality of fit from the inside out. After its final press and the buttons being sewn in our client’s bespoke suit is ready for the final fitting and collection in our Glasgow tailor’s studio.

If you are looking to have a suit made or just curious to know more about our process, book an appointment with us and pay us a visit.
